ILL: Medical Cannabis Works says Falco PDF Print E-mail
With at least 68 percent of Illinois voters -- including doctors, nurses -- and clergy, supporting this year's effort to enact a medical cannabis law, I have to wonder if our elected officials will finally stand up and do what is right for patients like me.

I've been using cannabis to relieve the pain and muscle spasms associated with multiple sclerosis for five years now, and I can tell you from firsthand experience that it works.

Apparently, our legislators are the last group of people in Illinois who need convincing that patients like me do not belong behind bars for using a doctor-recommended medicine.

I'll continue to wait and hope, because that is about all I can do outside of sharing my story with others. Our legislators, on the other hand, have real power -- I only hope that they wield it wisely and with compassion.
