The Capitol Building is located at the corner of
Monroe and Second Streets in Springfield, which is located close to the Amtrak
Station for those who would like to take the train. Supporters will be urging
lawmakers to pass bills on medical cannabis (House Bill 30 and Senate Bill 1548), a
cannabis decriminalization bill (House Bill 100) and an industrial hemp farming bill
(House Bill 1383). We will also be raising awareness to the harms caused by
cannabis prohibition by discussing the issue with lawmakers and educating them on
why they should support changing our cannabis laws.

The event dates will be determined and will go from 8:00AM to 5:00PM and we ask that you dress
and act professionally if you can attend. We will be able to setup two tables at
the Capitol to have information on cannabis and present our reasons for supporting
legalization. For those who will not be able to make it to Springfield please call
or email your State Representative and State Senator and tell them your views of
cannabis prohibition. By calling 217-782-2000 the Capitol directory operators will
be able to connect you to your legislators’ offices.

their legislators that is helpful too and setting up an appointment to meet with your State Rep. and State Senator is the best way for them to understand how you feel about our cannabis laws.
