I will look into the situation and the prospects for passing such
legislation.  This idea has been presented many times over the past few
years and once since I have served in the legislature.  

The Medical Association has not been in support of the idea since the
research evidence does not support the claim that it actually cures a
condition and there are other drugs that offer relief.  Law enforcement
agencies have been against the legalization for fear of uncontrolled use.
Opponents have even fought legalization of hemp (in the marijuana family)
for research and manufacture of rope.
