Michigan,  voters passed MPP's medical cannabis initiative on November 4, 2008, making Michigan the first Midwestern state to permit medical cannabis use by seriously ill patients (and the 13th in the U.S.).

Not only did Michigan win for medical cannabis, they took every single county in the state (83 total).  Scroll over the map to see individual county results:  http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/county/#MII01p1

Michigan now becomes the second largest medical cannabis state in the country (second only to California). And as a result of tonight's victory, almost one quarter of the nation now resides in states with medical cannabis laws.
