March 8, 2009:  Thanks for writing in support of the medical cannabis bill.  This is the first time in my 7 years in Springfield that this issue is coming up for a vote.

I'm open to the concept, though I still want to study the details to see if the bill has sufficient safeguards to confine use to medical purposes.
